Lansdowne Update

Board of Directors Meeting: The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. The resident forum portion of the meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. through 7:20 p.m. All residents interested in addressing the Board must sign up online at www.lansdownehoa.com and click on the Contact the HOA tab, then click on Resident Forum. Residents may also sign up at the Potomac Club front desk prior to the meeting date. You must be signed up to speak before 5:00 p.m. the day of the Board meeting. Residents who sign up will each have three minutes to address the Board during the resident forum.
Indoor Pool Notice: In order to thoroughly prepare the indoor pool and spa for the autumn and winter season, the indoor pool will be closed from August 30th through September 3rd for regularly scheduled annual maintenance. During this time the pool and spa will be drained, cleaned and the whitecoating reviewed for any necessary repairs. Additionally, the lighting, pumps, filters and other mechanical systems will be inspected and undergo any needed maintenance. The pool deck will be thoroughly cleaned, painted and sealed.
This will not impact resident usage of the outdoor Potomac Club pools or the pools at the Coton Club.

Pooch Pool Party: The Lansdowne HOA Activities Committee will host its 2nd Annual Pooch Pool Party on Monday, September 6, from 6 to 8 PM. Come bring your doggie for a dip in the Potomac Club outdoor pool before we close down for the season.
Dogs must display good dog manners and remain in the control of their owners at all times. Proof of current rabies vaccination and dog license will be required upon entrance into the pool area. Dogs and their owners may enter the pool by the gate in the side parking lot. No more than two dogs per owner please.
Important Note: Be prepared to pick up and clean up after your dog. No digging allowed anywhere on the Clubhouse property.

Crime Report(August 16– August 29, 2010): On August 16, an Assault was reported in the 43500 block of Merchant Mill Terrace, and a Breaking and Entering was reported in the 43400 block of Calphams Mill Court. On August 19, a Theft from a Vehicle was reported in the 43400 block of Riverpoint Drive. On August 22, a Theft from a Vehicle was reported in the 19100 block of Chartier Drive, and a Theft was reported in the 43300 block of Spring Cellar Court. On August 25, a Theft from a Vehicle was reported in the 19100 block of Chartered Creek Place.
No other crimes were reported in Lansdowne for this period.
