While visiting the Earth at Night, a group of alien botanists is discovered and disturbed by an approaching human task force. Because of the more than hasty take-off, one of the visitors is left behind. The little alien finds himself all alone on a very strange planet. Fortunately, the extra-terrestrial soon finds a friend and emotional companion in 10-year-old Elliot, who discovered him looking for food in his family's garden shed. While E.T. slowly gets acquainted with Elliot's brother Michael, his sister Gertie as well as with Earth customs, members of the task force work day and night to track down the whereabouts of Earth's first visitor from Outer Space. The wish to go home again is strong in E.T., and after being able to communicate with Elliot and the others, E.T. starts building an improvised device to send a message home for his folks to come and pick him up. But before long, E.T. gets seriously sick, and because of his special connection to Elliot, the young boy suffers, too. The situation gets critical when the task force finally intervenes. By then, all help may already be too late, and there's no alien spaceship in sight.
WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! |

2010 Lansdowne on the Potomac Summer Concert Series All Concerts will take place at the Lansdowne Amphitheater (behind the Potomac Club)
Down Wilson - TEEN CONCERT - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED Saturday May 8th, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Down Wilson is a 5-Piece acoustic/electric high energy cover band from Arlington, VA. This tween/teen concert is open to all Lansdowne on the Potomac residents currently attending grades 6-12.

The Electric Company Sunday May 30, 7 PM-9 PM
The Electric Company is a DC-area band that specializes in dance hits of the '70s, '80s and '90s. Those tunes that made you cringe at your first junior high school dance will get you groovin' now — when this band is playing, no one can sit still!
Close your eyes while Ray is singing, and you'll swear that Michael Jackson has jumped on stage — no wait, it's Sting — no, now it's Stevie Wonder! What's going on? And ladies, hold your guys tight when Megan takes over the microphone--her sultry lyrics turn men to mush.

The Oz Revue RESCHEDULED FOR July 31st Saturday 7 PM-9 PM
Classic Soul – Motown to Memphis
The Oz Revue is a band that performs classic soul, as well as a little blues with a dash of roots rock – all with a funky groove that gets people dancing and stays true to what made the material classic.
Come see the Oz Revue and you will hear music originally recorded by Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Al Greene and Louis Armstrong. The beauty of the material the Oz Revue covers is that it excites aging baby boomers and young adults alike. It is not unusual to see a 65 year old and 25 year old, both singing and dancing with the same level of enjoyment.

Gonzo’s Nose Friday June 25, 7 PM-9 PM
Named 2009’s best cover band by Northern Virginia Magazine!
A mainstay on the DC area music scene for years, Gonzo's Nose has carved a niche for themselves by combining solid musicianship with a repertoire of hundreds of cover songs from the early 80's up until songs that hit the radio just yesterday. The band has developed an almost cult-like following, and when you see them play, you’ll know why.

Loudmouth Friday July 9, 7 PM-9 PM
Loudmouth is a 5-piece cover band out of the Philly/South Jersey area. They play the songs you want to hear, with a slant towards contemporary rock (think songs mostly from 2000 forward).
Loudmouth’s members are all top-notch musicians and they deliver shows that captivate the audience with the incredible energy they bring to the stage. This unique combination has allowed them to become one of the most sought after bands in the northeast corridor.
